Moffitt physician receives $450,000 from ASCO Foundation

TAMPA -- Dr. Eric Haura, medical oncologist in the Thoracic Oncology Program at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is one of two cancer physicians who will receive nearly $1 million from The ASCO Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to pursue clinical and translational research in lung cancer.

Haura will receive the 2007 Advanced Clinical Research Award in recognition of his commitment to advancing progress against lung cancer and improving the treatment of people living with the disease.

Haura will receive a three-year award totaling $450,000 to support clinical research in lung cancer.
